Miniature Baked Goods - The "Wonder-Dough"

Cinnamon Rolls, Layered Cake, Donuts, Crossaints, Brownies, Cookies, ....
And all from one dough! - Sounds like magic, he? But let me tell you it's plain simple: Miniature Cookies!

I love all things miniature and enjoy working on all those details :)
So after decorating some frosted cakes with those mini cookies in the past I decided to share my basic sugar cookie recipe with you!

This time it's a mixture from Cinnamon Rolls (with little raisin pieces and frosted - I mean you just can't forget about the frosting!) some shiny-glazed and sprinkle-decorated Doughnuts in Chocolate and Pink Varieties, countless Chocolate Chip and Triple Chocolate Cookies, Crossaints (plain AND Chocolate) and endless types of Cake Pieces (layered, cut into slices, ...).

My personal fave are these Cinnamon Rolls (yaa, beautiful tinted fingers - but just that you know how tiny the cookies are ;)), bursting with details but check out the doughnuts as they aren't that bad too! As these cookies are so tiny you can even risk having a whole bakery at coffee time - without that much guilt!

So which baked goods are your favourites? Brownies? Layered Cake? Or some basic Chocolate Chip Cookies?

Miniature Sugar Cookies
- makes about 100 Cookies with a size of 1-2cm
- 150 g allpurpouse flour
- 75 g butter
- 50 g Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
-optional (for colouring or a variety in flavours):
- 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- for decoration:
- various sprinkles
- dark, white chocolate for glazing
- royal icing (simply combine some powdered sugar with a LITTLE water)

1. Combine the flour,  sugar and salt. Work in the butter with a fork until crumbs start to form - then keep working with the help of your hands, until you have a well combined dough.
2. Now you can add some colouring or flavours if you like, e.g. add in the Cocoa Powder and knead until well combined.
3. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 30 min to overnight, to have the flavours and texture set.
If your short on time you can skip this step and just continue with the next!
4. Preheat your oven to 180°C
5. Get the dough out of the refrigerator and knead it one more time. Then assemble or cut out whatever you like. I personally prefer to shape it by hand as you are much more flexible with the desired outcome, but cutting it out works well too.
6. Assemble the cookies however you like: Donuts, Crossaints (roll a triangular dough piece in the direction of one of the tips) or Cinnamon Rolls (Dough rolled up and filled with cinnamon and raisin pieces)
7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper - assemble the cookies.
8. Bake for ~5-10min, depending on your oven - watch closely to prevent the cookies from burning!
9. Take the sheet out and let the cookies cool of completely.
10. Decorate them with some melted chocolate or royal icing with sprinkles and serve!
